Band history

2019

Death Reapers was formed on the initiative of four friends from Przytoczna: Filip, Hubert, Kamil, and Szymon. The band’s early days were a period of intensive learning, musical experimentation, and searching for a shared direction. The result of their first rehearsals and the process of finding their own sound was the creation of Fire & Glass, which marked the beginning of Death Reapers’ musical journey.

2020

In January, Death Reapers make their live debut during the 28th WOŚP Grand Finale in Przytoczna, still without a vocalist. They perform several Metallica covers as well as their debut song, Fire & Glass. Konrad, a vocalist from Poznań, joins the band and writes the lyrics for Fire & Glass. In March, the band releases its first single, which premieres on YouTube.
The outbreak of the pandemic leads the band to focus primarily on working on new material, while continuing to expand and refine their musical skills.

2021

At the beginning of the year, the band releases its first EP, Sightless, featuring the title track along with Crucible and Wasteland.
In the middle of the year, Szymon leaves the band.
In September, the single Death Reapers is released - the musical signature of the band.

2022

At the beginning of the year, drummer Mateusz from Gniezno joins the band. From that point on, Death Reapers move their rehearsals from Przytoczna to Poznań and Gniezno. New songs are created, including The New Beginning, which symbolizes a new beginning in the band’s history.

2023

Thanks to the hard work of the entire band, the EP The New Beginning is released, and the single (with the same title) promoting the EP is released as the band's first music video. In November, another music video premieres - Dark Fortune, set in a 1920s-1930s mafia atmosphere.

2024

Work begins on Death Reapers’ full-length album. At the same time, it is a period of numerous live shows in Poznań, Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice, Szczecin, Gorzów Wlkp., and Przytoczna.
In the autumn, Death Reapers move all of their activities from Przytoczna to Poznań.

2025

At the beginning of the year, the first music video promoting the new album, Wear Your Leather Proud, is released as a tribute to metal culture, bikers, and punks. In March, the title track from the album, Thirst for Chaos, gets its own music video, followed in April by The Hermit. In May, the final music video promoting the album, Enemy, is released.
At the end of May, Death Reapers perform at Progresja in Warsaw in the final of Wacken METAL Battle Poland, as one of five finalists.
Without slowing down, the band releases its debut album Thirst For Chaos on June 13. The album receives positive reviews and earns the respect of fans around the world. In July, the new material is performed live at concerts at VooDoo in Warsaw and Minoga in Poznań.
Despite their strong desire to continue performing, the band is forced to put further concerts on hold due to an injury sustained by one of its members.

2026

In March, the band returns to the stage at Minoga in Poznań. At the same time, it is the final concert featuring their longtime bassist Filip, who from that point on takes over as Death Reapers’ manager. In April, the band begins rehearsals with their new bassist, Joachim, and the new line-up makes its live debut in early July at Pub Torpeda in Gdańsk.

Hubert

lead guitar

Author of most of Death Reapers’ guitar riffs and all of the band’s guitar solos. His playing style draws heavily on the traditions of Swedish melodic death metal, reflected in the distinctive melodies and harmonies that characterize the band’s music. In addition to his work as a composer, he is also responsible for recording and audio production of Death Reapers’ tracks.

Konrad

vocals

Responsible for the lyrical side of Death Reapers. He creates lyrics rooted in reflection and layered meanings, giving the band’s songs an additional depth. His distinctive growl and stage charisma are among the most recognizable elements of Death Reapers’ live presence.

Kamil

rhythm guitar

One of the main creators of Death Reapers’ guitar motifs. His creative approach to music, natural ease in writing, and fresh ideas and solutions make his parts an essential element of the band’s sound. His contribution can be heard in both the rhythmic and melodic layers of the songs.

Mateusz

drums

He has been consistently developing his drumming skills for years. Known for his exceptional precision and attention to detail, he constantly refines both his individual parts and the compositions as a whole. He actively contributes to shaping the structure of the songs, giving them their final form. His precision and consistency have a significant influence on the band’s overall sound.

Joachim

bass guitar

Passionate about metal music from an early age, which quickly became his greatest passion. As a bassist and vocalist, he brings experience, distinctive musical influences, and his own perspective on heavy music to Death Reapers. His style has been shaped by both metal legends and more unconventional artists from the contemporary scene.

Filip

manager

Oversees the organizational and promotional side of Death Reapers’ activities. He coordinates matters related to concerts, promotion, communication, and cooperation with the band’s partners. He is also the creative force behind the band’s music video concepts, actively contributing to the development of its visual identity. By combining creativity with consistency, he effectively supports the growth of the Death Reapers brand, while remaining an important part of its story from the very beginning.
